The Brief Introduction of Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce (Tianjin Chamber of Commerce and Industry)

　Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce (TFIC) has a long history. At the beginning of 20th century, TFIC already came in to being earlier than foundation of All China Federation of Industry and Commerce. TFIC played a very important role to form a beneficial commercial environment and promote economic development at that time. In April 1950, Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce was founded and in Nov 1993, Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce was also called Tianjin Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

　TFIC now already has 175 branches of chamber of industry and commerce for basic organization in Tianjin. TFIC has 10782 registered members which include 1525 personal members, 7830 enterprise members and 64 group members; TFIC also has 21 guilds and 10 chambers of Commerce for other regional business people in Tianjin. TFIC has close ties with other chamber of industry and commerce and private enterprises (including HK, Macao, and Taiwan) in China; meanwhile TFIC also keep close contacts with 140 chambers of commerce in more 30 countries.

　TFIC has 8 special committees that are politics participating committee, law committee, propaganda committee, finance committee, trade committee, education and training committee, organization committee, and liaison committee. TIFC regards them as principles that are members being in charge of TFIC, services making TFIC exist, and ability developing TFIC. TFIC gradually is setting up perfect organization system, politics participating system, service and liaison system, then serves our members with all around, high level and broad area service. TIFC also protects legal rights of members, harmonizes relationship, makes channel and therefore becomes the ladder, family and friends of private entrepreneurs. What is more, TFIC communicates and contacts with overseas organizations and economic experts then not only promote cooperation of economy, technology, and trade, but also assists to attract capital, technology and talent people. The work purposes of TIFC are strengthening organization and promote cooperation in order to make ever-stop efforts for socialist marketing economy and devote power to harmonious society.
